*Creating Balance *Biblical Mindset *Intentional Living * Time Management *Priorities *Overwhelm & Anxiety Management Are you a busy, working Mom, overwhelmed by all the hats you have to wear? Are you exhausted from juggling your ever-growing list of commitments and to-dos? Do you desire to show up abundantly in all the areas of your life, but are spread too thin, leaving you feeling weary and guilty that you didn’t do enough? If this is you, Friend, then I am so excited to welcome you! I’m Lindsay, a Jesus-loving, anxious-prone wife and Mom to 3. As a working Mom myself, I know firsthand how stressful it can be to have the desire to financially help your family, but also show up as a Mom, fully engaged and present for the people who are most important to you. I was drowning in all the things, overcome with anxiety and blindly believing the enemy’s lies that I wasn’t doing enough. Which only left me spiraling even deeper into a more toxic cycle that felt impossible to escape. It wasn’t until I prioritized my relationship with the Lord through rooting myself in scripture and prayer that I began to see the light. When I gave myself space to rest in God’s presence and became conscious of what my foundational priorities were, my life began to change, and I experienced freedom. And I am so excited to share that freedom and peace with you! So, I invite you to join me weekly for a dose of encouragement, practical tools, tips, and resources to help all of us align ourselves with scripture and restore our priorities. I truly believe that when we are intentional about renewing our minds and rooting ourselves in God’s promises, we get to actively live in the best that God has for us. So, gift yourself the next few minutes with a cozy blanket and warm drink, and come as you are. You are welcome here Friend and I can’t wait to share this time with you. Sometimes motherhood can feel like a lot. It can feel completely overwhelming accompanied by high stress and anxiety. It's so easy to become a victim within our circumstances rather than viewing those circumstances as opportunities to invite God in.
In this episode, we get into the ups and downs of motherhood, acknowledging the challenges while embracing the blessings with faith and scripture as our guide. Here are the scriptures referenced for further reflection and encouragement:
Psalm 127:3 - "Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from Him."
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Matthew 11:28-29 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
James 1:17 - "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
2 Corinthians 12:9 - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Isaiah 41:10 - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
Isaiah 40:29-31 - "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
1 Peter 5:7 - "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

Is control an idol in your life? Do you put your need for control above building your relationship with God?
When our minds spin with our relentless need for control and compulsive planning, it's hard to stay grounded and take time to talk and listen to God for direction. When we are so preoccupied with controlling things in our lives, we unknowingly make this need and drive for control an idol in our lives which leaves us feeling burned out and overwhelmed.
It's hard to admit, but sometimes it's hard to allow God to comfort us and experience His rest when our need for control and "doing" is so strong.
We all have a loving Father who wants to make Himself known to each and every one of us….Who wants to wrap us in His love and His presence and give us the confidence and peace that only comes from Him. Today's episode unpacks this a bit and helps us remember what God wants to give each and every one of us. I hope you join us for today's episode!

Today’s world requires us to be “on” all the time. To keep up a pace that leaves us with moments where we crash and burn, full of stress and overwhelm, leaving us feeling completely depleted and like we aren’t doing good enough. It’s a vicious cycle that many of us are caught in and don’t even realize.
There’s no grace for slowing down. How are we supposed to function from a place of abundance in the middle of all this chaos?
Many of us recognize the importance of kindness, and as moms, it’s a quality we want our children to learn and exercise toward others. Still, when it comes to ourselves as women and as moms, we neglect to extend that same kindness and compassion to ourselves when getting through our days.
Practicing self-kindness involves speaking to ourselves with love and compassion. Understanding that mistakes are part of life but that they do not shape our identity and who we are. Juggling the responsibilities of a working mom is challenging, yet constantly criticizing ourselves and feeling inadequate makes it feel nearly impossible to function the way God created us to live.
Our lives are made up of both big and small reactions to the circumstances of our lives and we need to be diligent in calling upon God’s word and leaning into His truth outside of ourselves and individual circumstances. The Lord asks us to be faithful to Him.
He asks us to be faithful to Him in what He has given us. So for us as working moms, this means being faithful as a believer, as a woman, as a wife, and as a mom. We have a Savior who chose to do life with us and to help us along the way which is so beautiful.
May we all be working Moms, who first and foremost seek God, and learn to care for our souls so we can pour into others in more genuine, graceful ways.
Today’s episode is all about choosing love and joy and how we can show ourselves more kindness as we move about our days.

![Ep 28 // New Year Reflections: Finding Gratitude and Grace for the Year Ahead](https://pbcdn1.podbean.com/imglogo/image-logo/16393247/Podcast_Cover_Faith_Led_Working_Moms_Podcast_2__ydi5mm_300x300.jpg)

Wednesday Jan 03, 2024
The start of the new year brings about some natural emotions in all of us. Some of us find a newfound sense of motivation, others of us spend time looking at our lives and making new goals for our selves.
We spend a lot of time and energy thinking about what we want to be doing better, how we can improve, and everything we want to change. And while there’s genuine value in that, I think it’s also important to take some time to sit in reflection. We go through life so quickly. So often we find ourselves moving through our days at lightspeed and we don’t take time to sit and reflect.
Reflecting on the past year, the highs, lows, and everything in between has a lot of value. It's a treasure chest of learning and growth and a place where we can sit and meet with God.
Reflecting on your personal experience and setting clear goals out of that reflection time will increase your self-awareness and improve your chances in succeeding and showing up the way in which you want to. It also opens up space for you to acknowledge all the good that you bring to this world.
Before you start going crazy with resolutions and goals, I want to give us permission to take a few minutes and spend some time in reflection today, to help us sit in gratitude for everything that’s been given to us, and maybe even things that have been taken away, so we can feel at peace moving forward in the new year in the direction we know we want and need to go.
