When You’re Carrying Too Much and Still Have to Show Up: 3 Ways to Navigate a Heavy Season
There are seasons in motherhood that aren’t just hard — they’re heavy.
If you’re carrying something at home that’s consuming your heart, your emotional energy, and your prayers, but you’re still expected to show up at work, keep things moving, and act like everything is fine, this episode is for you.
In this episode, I speak directly to working Christian moms who are navigating heavy family seasons while continuing to show up in their professional and everyday responsibilities. You’ll hear encouragement, biblical truth, and three gentle ways to support yourself when life feels overwhelming and the weight you’re carrying feels invisible.
This is not an episode about trying harder or pushing through. It’s about recognizing when you’re carrying too much and learning how to receive support — spiritually, emotionally, and practically — in a season that requires more from you than you expected.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
The difference between a hard day or week and a truly heavy season
Why survival mode in a heavy season is not failure — it’s faithfulness
A personal story about redefining “doing your best” when capacity changes
Three practical ways to navigate a heavy season, including:
Permission to lower the bar without guilt
When and how to communicate your needs at work
Why allowing others to help is part of God’s design, not a weakness
Encouragement for staying connected to God when your spiritual rhythms feel disrupted
Hope and reassurance that God sees you and is present in the middle of your heaviness
A word of encouragement
If you’re showing up tired, stretched, and emotionally spent, you are not falling behind or failing God. You are faithfully walking through a season that requires grace, support, and gentleness — not more effort.
God is near to you in this season. He hears the quiet prayers, sees the unseen weight, and is carrying you even when you feel worn down.
If you’re realizing that what you need right now isn’t more effort, but better support, Lindsay’s Faithfully Balanced course was created for seasons exactly like this. It’s designed to help working Christian moms clarify priorities, release unrealistic expectations, and create rhythms that support both faith and family — especially when life feels heavy.

When Hustle Culture Steals Your Peace and Leaves You Exhausted—and What You Actually Need Instead
If you’re a working Christian mom who ended the holidays feeling more exhausted than refreshed, you’re not alone. As routines return and responsibilities pile back on, many moms find themselves carrying guilt for resting at all—wondering why peace feels so far away.
In this episode, we talk honestly about how hustle culture quietly steals our peace and convinces us that our worth is tied to productivity. We unpack why exhaustion isn’t a sign you need to push harder, but often a signal that your soul is longing for rest and trust in God.
Using Exodus 14:14—“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still”—we explore how biblical stillness is not passivity, laziness, or giving up. It’s surrender. It’s choosing to stop striving, stop proving, and allow God to fight battles we were never meant to carry.
You’ll hear encouragement for the working mom who feels behind, overwhelmed, and unsure if she’s doing enough—and a reminder that the peace of Jesus isn’t something you earn through perfect performance. It’s a gift freely offered, even in seasons of exhaustion, uncertainty, and unmet expectations.
This episode will help you:
Identify how hustle culture fuels exhaustion and mom guilt
Release the belief that your value is tied to productivity
Understand what biblical rest and stillness really mean
Shift from striving to trusting God with your time, work, and family
Embrace peace that doesn’t depend on having it all together
If you’re longing for more peace and less pressure—especially as you balance faith, family, and work—this conversation will gently point you back to the rest Jesus offers.
Questions to consider as you work through your week:
Where am I hustling when God is inviting me to rest?
Where am I carrying guilt that He's already forgiven?
Where can I pause today and remember I am loved, not for what I do, but for who I am in Him?

You're Not Behind: What Faithful Progress Actually Looks Like for Working Moms
Feeling like you're already falling behind on your New Year goals? You're not alone—and you're not failing. In this episode, we're talking about what faithful progress actually looks like when you're juggling work deadlines, bedtime routines, and trying to stay close to Jesus in the middle of it all.
If you started January with good intentions but you're already wondering if you're doing enough, this conversation is for you. I'm breaking down the lie we believe about progress, what the Bible actually teaches about spiritual growth, and how to recognize faithfulness in the everyday moments that feel small but matter eternally.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Why visible progress isn't the same as faithful progress
What the Bible reveals through Noah, Ruth, and the Israelites about slow obedience
The specific ways faithfulness shows up in your real life as a working mom
Why consistency with God matters infinitely more than intensity
How to know if you're actually growing (even when it doesn't feel like it)
What to do when the answer is "no" and you feel stuck or far from God
Plus: I'm inviting you to join our Faithful Progress January Challenge—a month-long journey with daily reflection prompts, weekly Scripture, and a community of working moms letting go of "all-or-nothing" thinking together.

Tuesday Jan 06, 2026
Tuesday Jan 06, 2026
The start of a new year can feel surprisingly heavy—especially for working moms. Even with the best intentions, January often brings pressure to move quickly, get organized, and figure everything out right away. Before long, peace is replaced by urgency, and hope gives way to overwhelm.
In this episode, we slow things down.
Instead of rushing into plans, goals, or productivity, you’re invited to begin the year from a different place—staying close to God rather than striving for clarity. Drawing from Scripture and the example of Jesus, this conversation reminds you that a peaceful start doesn’t come from having everything decided. It comes from abiding, listening, and letting God set the pace.
You’ll hear encouragement for releasing pressure, embracing stillness, and approaching the new year with trust instead of urgency. This episode centers on one simple, Spirit-led question that can help you experience peace when life feels full and the road ahead feels uncertain.
If you’re a working Christian mom who already feels behind—or who wants to start the year faithfully without burning out—this episode will meet you right where you are.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn:
Why the beginning of the year often feels rushed and overwhelming
What the Bible teaches about peace, stillness, and staying rooted in Christ
How Jesus modeled beginning from intimacy, not urgency
One question that helps replace striving with peace
A gentler, faith-filled way to start the year as a working mom
A Question to Carry With You This Week:
Where in your life is God inviting you to stay close instead of striving?
You don’t need to answer this all at once. Return to it in quiet moments—during your commute, in prayer, or when you feel pressure to rush ahead. Peace often comes not from clarity, but from closeness.
